Almost every single movie/tv show/book based videogame ever made.
Okay, here is why I do not like Half-Life 2.
It is a totally unextraordinary game that gets a lot more praise than it deserves. When I played it I found it to be completely and terribly boring, getting lost several times between fights because the game doesn't always give a decent indicator of where to go. The enemies are cliche and boring, too. Evil oppressive alien master race, Swarming alien bugs, and facehuggers "headcrabs" that turn people into zombes. The only fun I had was at the end of Episode 2, where you fought all the striders and stuff.
There, I gave my reasons for why I don't like the game I picked, now how about everybody else do so as well?
The plot is one of the most original and exciting plot I've ever seen in a videogame. Show me multiple games with an alien race
already dominating the planet and you're a freedom fighter (donning an awesome body armor) looking to protect it?
Eventually, an enemy gets used. Zombies, for instance. You could also say Left4Dead sucks because it has zombies, because it's happened before. Half-Life 2 has a variety of enemies, some in which have had similar species on other games. You can't call an enemy unoriginal unless it's the EXACT same as another. Facehugger? Alien =/= zombie. Never heard of an enemy resembling a Manhack, either
Also if you get lost in Half-Life 2: lolololol. The scenery shows you where to go; it's not science.
All in all, best PC game alongside TF2
