This actually has happened to me before, what you need to do is go on the task manager and log out, through it, then log back in and it should go back to normal.

(Worked for me)

New Task> explorer.exe

Click your windows key, see what happens.

Try running in safe mode and see if it still happens.

Do it for teh lulz.

1. Control - Alt - Delete
2. In Task Manager, click "File" and "New Task (Run)..."
3. in the new window type in "explorer.exe" without quotations and click OK
4. See if Explorer starts up.
5. If all else fails, system restore.
