Author Topic: My Windows XP Start Bar is Missing! [FIXED]  (Read 2520 times)

This happens every week or so, my start bar goes missing, and I can't recover it.
I end explorer.exe and restart it (run it again), and it is still gone.  I'm not reformatting my computer, AGAIN.

hao2fix? ;-;

I reformatted, thanks for everyone who helped me, and forget everyone who thinks they're funny.
That means you, Night Cox Fox.

i'm pretty sure that once explorer is gone, your start bar is gone.

How the hell do you get rid of your Start Bar.

uhh no

works that way with me

when I end the process 'explorer.exe' or something like that, the start bar vanishes until I restart.

I think my other hard drive is corrupt, because whenever I use it, this happens.

Do "New Task" and put explorer.exe in there. Or just Start>Run>explorer.exe if you meant restarting PC. :o

Not prevent it.

Download some program which replaces whole desktop stuff.

Well, you screwed your computer up.

Just scan your computer with avast and adaware. They're both good, free anti-malware/virus programs that should clear your troubles up.
