Realistically, if a zombie outbreak were to occur and the military got wind of it quick enough it would be contained and then covered up. No one would know because it would cause mass panic. If it got to a large scale the military would just start bombing highly infected areas and then clearing them out with ground troops.

It's not like the movies, and games, where a group of people kill zombies, and escape on a helicopter, or where zombies destroy the world completely, like you think.
It would take people joining forces, and supplies to counter a massive outbreak, and rebuild all society that was lost from the infection.


In all probability, the military would clean it up once they got wind of it. They would also research a cure for the said virus, if not already made.

Exactly, its not going to be some awesome epic adventure. Your friends and family would potentially die a painful, awful death.
Anyhow if there was a virus it wouldn't cause people to become zombies in the traditional sense, as Dodger was mentioning.
