How Do I Disable Something From Installing?

i keep uninstalling the Microsoft eHome Infrared Tranciever to get my =, +, `, \, and other keys to work, but it keeps reinstalling every time i restart/turn on my computer, is there anyway to stop it from reinstalling? or just disable it?

Well, I have XP, and eHome does not appear in my device manager. However I do have it.

The only thing I can think of, is to just screw it up. Make a text file called eHome.exe or whatever, and put it in the place of eHome.

Also, on my computer, eHome crashes my computer when I run Lego Universe.
