Author Topic: How do you loop ogg. files?  (Read 2165 times)

What program do I need? Or do I loop them as MP3s then change them to ogg's.?

You basically cut the audio out until a certain point that mixes with the beginning. Blockland automatically repeates the .ogg file, so as long as the end of the .ogg is the same as the beginning, it will be a good loop

I use Audacity to "monolize" the song (important, Blockland doesn't do stereo .oggs), cut alot of it off until it loops (which is a bit hard) and then I export it as a .ogg file into my Blockland > Add-Ons > Music folder.

What do I use to"cut" it?

Well, it's simple. Get Audacity, and load the MP3 or whatever you want to make into a song. Then, drag the mouse over the area you want to loop (this is how you cut the song). Then, at the left part of the stereo stack, you will see this dropdown menu at the side. Click that then click, "Split Stereo Stack". Then, just click on the dropdown menu on each track and click "Mono". Then just go into file, then click "Export as .OGG VORBIS File" Or something like that. It will tell you you will need to mix it to be a successful mono file, so just hit OK and it will do it automatically. Save it with no spaces, but if you want a space use an underscore. Then when you try it out in blockland, it should work. :D

Hope that helps.

Someone please test this. http://www.filefront.com/17209572/03-Dont-Trust-Me.ogg/  :cookieMonster:
it doesnt work.wanna know why?
for spaces the filename must use _'s not -'s.
and dont try using numbers either
change the file name to: Dont_Trust_Me.ogg.

anyway i renamed it to proper settings and ..
to be continued

.....It was a sucess

also i use wave pad's batch converter to monolize mine
