Weird lag

I went away for about two weeks and when I got back, I started a game and it was fine, but then I loaded some bricks, and it was lagging really bad... I don't have a slow computer, it's window seven and fairly new

When you look away from the bricks does it "Not lag" or does it stay the same?

And all the terrain that is far away seems to fade into whiteness
