honestly...

slow down......

take a deep breath..

you're running into buying a computer and you obviously have no knowledge or computer hardware at all.

Do some research, post on some actual computer tech forums, take a week or two.

i remember when i was going to get my first computer i was all stoked and hyper. But you really have to just relax and think it through.

Pick one only.

Seriously, you won't find a GOOD gaming laptop under $1000.

The M11X isn't GOOD for gaming. I was trying their best M11X a Futureshop and it ran Crysis with like, 15-20 FPS. And while the machine may be decent for gaming, it is absolutely bloody useless for anything else. (Fresh install of Windows, too).

Do it.

Slightly off topic: How well would this PC run most games? Here

I know nothing about building PCs, but I can swap out GPU, add RAM, etc.

Help?

I built this alienware. Would it be able to run all of the games that I mentioned before?

Also any suggestions?

No need for a 740. Get better graphics. Also, get an AVA or at least an IBP.

Help?
It actually looks pretty sick. I'm not into extreme gaming and stuff but I can tell you that it has a decent amount of RAM, great processor, enough Harddrive space and to top it off a nice amount of graphics processing. (1GB)
I would swap out the graphics card, though, but that's just me. (it's PCI express, so that shouldn't be too hard.)

Thanks. I looked it up and saw the Graphics card was about 100$, I don't know if I need to upgrade it, but hopefully I won't have too, considering I don't play too many high demanding PC games.

It will run what you need it to run.

No need as in its too much power? On the laptop building thing its the weakest one.

Hmmmff... I may have confused my self.

I still would push away from alienware. I believe that Asus as a laptop with the most powerful mobile componenys possible for about $1200.

I already have a very nice alienware desktop, but I want a laptop because I need to take it back and forth between my mom's house, my dad's house, and my friend's house when he has lan parties.

Build a second desktop at your mom/dads and just switch between the current one and the other one. Don't know about the lan partys.
