Question about Blu-rays.

I borrowed Clash of the Titans on BluRay and I wanna watch it in HD, but I don't have a BluRay player, so is it possible to rip a BluRay movie off the disc without a BluRay player on my laptop?

I know I can't outright play the disc, but I assume copying the files would be possible with specialized software.

You need a blue ray, like the name implies to be able to read the the disc.
