5a + 7 = -33
5a = -40
a = -8

Also I checked my math.

9(-8) + 7 = 4(-8) - 33
-72 + 7 = -32 - 33
-65 = -65

OK another easy one I need help with:

3(x+7)-21 = 0

The answer is X = 1 but I forget how to get X. I did
3(x+7)-21
(distribute)
3x + 21 - 21 = 0
(remove the 21 - 21 because it cancels to 0)
3x = 0
?????? I did something wrong

You can't divide by zero.
So... I guess it's a trick question? :/

Edit: Wait you're dividing by 3 not zero. So it's zero.

Nevermind x = 0 I messed up my math.
