Info - What is this?Smooth and Slick does the trick (SASDTT for short) is a detective noir-like story that takes place in a dark city far from the Mushroom Kingdom (don't be hatin' that it's in a setting that includes Mario.) I predict this will go on longer than my previous adventure, "Solarmon: Ember Version." Please note that since I am not using MSpaint my drawings will be a bit slower to be produced. I will lock the thread after people have given enough suggestions so I can draw and continue the story.
Well here we go!
We see our hero,
Bostache standing around his office. He is a detective that is used by the Mafia that controls some of the city. What city you may ask?
Shroomlight city is probably a city darker that the shadows. Several clans and groups lurk the city at night, while the cityfolk roam throughout the day. Hmm, whats that sound?
Oh, it's the phone. You gotta be on your feet, even in your own office.
Bostache shoves the chair away and picks up the phone.
Bostache: "Hello? Who's this."
???: "It's me, the Mafia leader, Grandet
Bostache: "So, what do you want?
Grandet: "This is a job I can't give to even my best men. I only called because I know your the, 'professional' at deducting and stuff. I need you to go rescue my daughter, her name's Neon. She's been captured by a group called 'The Dead Eyes.' I want you to go to the Marketplace and, you know, sniff out some info. I'll pay you all I can... Just save her!"
Bostache: "I'll do it. I'm all out of food, anyway."
You hang up and go to the market district.
Wait, what's all this stuff on the screen? I'll explain.
ON-SCREEN STATSTOP LEFT - LOCATION Location, location, location. Don't know where you are? Look up there.
TOP RIGHT - DATE What day is it again? With this, you can tell what time of day it is, the weather, and how much days have gone by.
BOTTOM RIGHT - STATS I'll explain these individually.
HEALTH Your stamina. Lose all of this and you die. When this happens you'll go back to your office.
STACHE Your special bar. You can use this to do magic and stuff. You don't know any right now, but later you'll learn some.
TRICK POWER This trick bar will allow you to do tricks that can not be done without it. If you run out you gain some over time. This bar is also used to interrogate people.
