Author Topic: Okay this makes no sense.  (Read 1474 times)

Screwing around in Notepad++, and when I was done I saved it to my desktop. I want to check the file size and this pops up.

sense does make this not

Yes this totally deserved it's own topic.

WAY TO GO!

You broke it ):

I had a 56.7mb Notepad file. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore, otherwise I would show you guys.

It also was a .avi, some crazy stuff.

What the forget. I think your Windows 7 is a little under the weather.

I honestly think it's actually a .png file.

Reasoning:
A) It could be perfectly resized.
B) The dimensions of the file's icon seem to be correct. Windows 7 draws previews of a picture on a desktop.
C) You can hide extensions of known filetypes, in this case, a .png file. It's real name would be "new 3.txt.png".
D) A .png of that dimensions could be 3.26 MB.

Still, it may just be some odd glitch.

Then again, I'm starting to think it's edited.
The attributes being shown aren't lined up right.

It's definitely a text file, I have file extensions shown.

Also what about the icon?

I'm not smart enough to get this d:

Text files, like a file saved in Notepad, are default saved as a .txt file. However when he scrolls over to view file information, it says it's saved as a .png which isn't possible because that's an image file extension and Notepad doesn't support images.

ARE YOU A WIZARD????????????????????

THERES NO PINE TREE SOW ITS SHOPED!

That's why I'm confused.

this happened with my mom.. someone was supposed to email her a doc from a mac and she emailed it and it came out "all fuzzy", so she had her email it to me and then me email it to her. I got them and they were all PNGs. I then had to go through and teach her how to send the docs as PDFs so she could send to my mom... lame.
