Curious about Game-Based Addons

Didnt take me too long (after I joined the Forums) to realise that people dont like Halo addons in Blockland. There's Left4Dead, A little bit of CoD, and some other stuff. I dont see the problem with Halo. I dont think everyone who hates the addons has played Halo, either.

The problem is that we've always had people making Halo add-ons, and that nearly all of them have been garbage. The kiddies here obsess over them regardless, and that gets annoying. Personally, I don't like any add-ons that simply copy another game. Blockland is about creativity.

I dont think they all are garbage, but some are, take that Plasma Rifle for instance. It looks completely like a mesh, along with that Magnum, I wont say any names though. Other addons, thought, like the Pelican, you can tell the maker put effort into creating it. The Halo ODST SMG, ODST Magnum, and Assault Rifle also show the effort. If more people did that, maybe people would like the Halo stuff.

I think that people need to stop making stuff that's just ripped from other games, and make original content.

btw the Pelican was quite literally ripped from Halo CE.

Its still a good Addon, you have to admit. But your right, more original content is needed.

Most halo add-ons suck and are "generic". What makes the Halo assault rifle different from another assault rifle we have (Disregarding easily changeable things like damage), what makes the shotgun different than the shotguns we have? The same goes for all the other weapons.

The only Halo addons I think Blockland really needs are the Ghost, the Warthog, and the Plasma pistol.


And don't get me wrong, I love halo, it's just not what Blockland really needs, so nobody feels compelled to make the addons.

True, True, but I still think that if EFFORT was put into the addons, you'd see 'Username's Halo TDM' more, and it would most likely be a great TDM server.
