Author Topic: This may be my last year in England.  (Read 1773 times)

I have lived in England for 3 years. (Summer to summer mind you)  And by next summer I may be moving back to America.  I am not sure whether I should be happy to be going home, or sad to be leaving my new friends.

I like the school system here, I like being so close to just about every European country and I like the mildness of the weather.
I miss my old friends, I hate living a nine hour flight away from my family, I hate the assumption the brits have that Americans are all fat and gay, and I miss all my favorite foods that I can't get here.

Just be happy or else you will be sad.

Just be sad or else you'll be happy.

I might be a bit nosy but where in America?

Also my friend moved back to England last month.

Tom

Bring me some fish and chips.

I might be a bit nosy but where in America?
We aren't sure where, but we want to go back to Minneapolis.  That's where we lived from just before I was born to 3 years ago.

Why not talk to your family about this instead of a bunch of people who play with legos on the internet, also I hate to seem like a skeptical starfish but I kind of doubt that any of what you said was true.

Now for a real replay.

*Ahem*

You should ask your new friends emails / phone numbers so you can keep in touch with them.  Same with your old friends if for some reason you have not done that already.

Too true.

Why don't you believe him?

I live on 4 the courtyard in Stamford, which is about an hour North of London.  I used to live in 4032 pleasant ave Minneapolis MN.
I hope that's enough proof for you. :D

I can take pictures if necessary.

I have my old friends on skype, but I know from three years experience that it's just not the same.

Lol I have a 4032 number in my address too!

Why don't you believe him?
It just seems like the kind of thing people would say for the sake of getting attention, like all these "I've got 5 girls that want my richard and I don't know which to choose" threads.

It's nothing like that at all and you are silly for being skeptical. People move all the time.

That's an entirely different sort of thing. That's an idiots way of getting attention.
If he just wanted attention, he would have made a bogus topic.
Don't be too skeptical of things, many things are false, but truths exist too.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed England.
I guess the best thing to do is obviously just keep in contact with your friends here.
You may be moving far far away, but that doesn't mean you can't keep in contact.
I live in England and an old friend of mine moved from here to Australia. I still keep in contact with her via the internet and we're still good friends, so it's always worth it.

But, I hope you're happy wherever you are. In America or wet England. :P
