Author Topic: How to not be called a noob  (Read 1549 times)

Hi, everyone. This is meant to be a tutorial on not being called a noob while playing Blockland. First, here are a few add-ons that you should have enabled if you want to be taken seriously:

1. RTB - a "system" that adds lots of convenience to the game, e.g. more server control in game and an IRC channel for users
2. JVS Content, JVS Door Pack 0, JVS Door Pack 1 - JVS is a collection of doors that everyone has and everyone needs
3. Duplicator - The duplicator allows you to duplicate bricks to make building large structures much easier.

Of course, if you're an amazing builder like Badspot, you don't need add-ons, but I suggest that you at least have those three. Many people who are called noobs, however, do not host servers. Here are some tips for not being called a noob on other people's servers:
1. Be patient.
2. Don't build in all red.
3. Change your name from BlockHead.
4. Change your avatar.
5. Try not to build boxes. Always put windows in buildings and don't make them too square.
6. Do not ask for admin. People always get annoyed by that and it will likely get you banned.
7. Do not go around shrinking lots of people with the shrink ray or "horsing" lots of people with the horse ray.
8. Only have one vehicle spawn and make it invisable (No rendering, no collision, no ray casting)
9. Don't purposefully crash into people.

Hope this helps

Get out.

Duplicator has been busted since v15. It can't duplicate water bricks right because of the changes made to them since v15. Someone needs to update it...

Get out.
I'm just trying to help the people who are new to Blockland. When I first started, people called me a noob for not having those add-ons on my server.

Seriously get out. This is the worst topic i've ever came across...

Sort of helpful for some people,But you need these:
  • Use good puncuation
  • No caps

hmmhmmh2

Stop being a idiot. Also you double posted. Good job.

Really? TO NOT BE A NOOB DO NOT WRITE LIKE THIS and DO NOT POST RANDOM TOPICS!!

Yes. This topic is also random.

Just pointing this out:
Newb/Newbie is a term used for novices/new people to a game (or program).
Noob/Noobie is a term used for trolls and general idiots who intentionally annoy people.

I assume you used noob for newb, but whatever.

None of this is required to "not be called a noob".

Having certain add-ons does not have some impact in terms of newness, or idiocy.

Being patient is not required, depending on how you act when impatience is more important.

Having the name Blockhead does not make you more of a newb/noob. It could be that the person has yet to think of a creative/cool name yet.

Changing the avatar has no effect either. I rather enjoy the default avatar myself, and don't see how it should make someone be more of a newbie or an idiot.

Only having one vehicle spawn makes no sense, especially the invisible-bit.

no edit button dur

DUH! Im not dumb I'm saying you post stupid things... DUR.

It's about people's opinions, not how to seeml less new.
