No, it's well documented fact that women are paid less for similar work than a man is. Just google anything pertaining to gender gap and wage inequality.

The pay gap shouldn't be called an inequality since it is fair. I'm all for equal pay for equal work, but aside from the years off required for child bearing, women are shown to be less productive than men. They take longer amounts of time to complete a task and do it with less skill. Then put back in the child rearing and you have a very undesirable employee. There are always outliers in both genders, but men make up a far greater part of the skilled workforce. That's why women are almost always found in unskilled labor (e.g. secretary, factory lineman, data entry), unless it is a rare female who is exceptionally gifted an employer can't make a sound investment into their employment in a field that requires skill and training.
