Is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional good?
Should I go for it?

What.

I only care if the phone works, has a big screen, can text (keyboard), can call, has a medium quality camera, and doesn't break.

I'm pretty sure it works. It has pretty big screen. It has on-screen keyboard I think. It most likely has calling feature and has 3.2MP camera and I'm pretty sure every phone breaks eventually.
My current phone is Sony Ericsson K510i brick which has no loving memory and the battery is pretty much dying.

What company are you using?  Verizon, right?

Also, I've heard the Droid kicks the stuff out of every other smartphone in its class.  Haven't used one, though.

Also, the windows phone 7 might be worth looking into.  But HTC is a pretty good route either way.

Not American. In Estonia 99% of phones are unlocked, maybe 100%. :o
I use some company called Elisa.

Just get an apple iphone and get this over with.

Oh, that's convenient.  So you can get pretty much any phone you want, I'm guessing, without being bound by contracts or exclusiveness?

Just get an apple iphone and get this over with.
lol

At least wait until they fix everything.

Well, they offer you discounts on some phones when signing a contract or such. And if you already are client of theirs, they will give you some discount on any phone. So the price pretty much equals to price on Amazon.
And yeah, unlocked phones mean you can buy any sim card and use it in that phone.

And iPhones cost ridiculously a lot.

Not true. it costs 180$ in america.

Not true. it costs 180$ in america.
Would you link me to such place then?

Get a Droid Incredible/Droid X

$200

Better camera, better battery (possibly), better processor

I'm thinking of getting a Blackberry Tooth.

WITH CONTRACT.
Why is it so hard to understand that you get a discount when you buy a phone with a contract.
