My hamster died :/ Time for an Iguana? Questions.

Alright my hamster "Smudge" Died I no longer have hamsters, it has been 1.7 years and most likely he has just gotten old, he lost all of his hair and then it grew back, he passed yesterday.


I kept his food and water filled ALL the time, and played with him a lot :O


I want an iguana   they live 19-20 years... Is an iguana a good Idea, how do you take care of one?

They live half the lifespan of an iguana but you can actually DO STUFF WITH THEM. Well sorta. My dog is lazy. :/

From my experience with iguanas, they are as boring as snakes.
You have to spray them with a mist of water everyday to keep them moist, gotta have a heat lamp for something else.

A lot of work for something just to look at.

They only live 15 years if you get a small annoying dog that barks all the time. I have a yellow lab and her name is Lucy. We used to come home froms school/work and say, "Lucy I'm home!" and the name kinda stuck even if it is cliche.

Smaller dogs have a tendency to live longer. Typically from 15-18 years. Most bigger dogs live from 10-12, sometimes 14. It all depends on the breed.

And I have 2 small dogs. :(

Back when I was in elementary school there was kind of a fad about having hamsters that I kind of started, everyone else's hamsters died early and mine lived the longest. It's name was Val since it was born on valentine's day. For a month or 2 before it died it got very vicious and wouldn't let us touch it. It would hide in the lower reaches of it's three story cage(it was actually quite nice, were I a hamster I wouldn't mind living in it) amidst the bedding.
