I once sniped someone from all the way across the map. It was insane. The poor bastard was just standing there.
I also killed a giant, mini-nuke-armed Rykuta with a flare gun in his own mini-game. He promised anyone who could beat him instant Super Admin. I didn't get it. :D

I loving hate raycast weapons too, but shut up. Just because a weapon is hitscan doesn't automatically mean it requires no skill to use.

So now to my sniper rifle kills. With Kaje's sniper rifle:

I shot three people out of a stunt plane while it was flying. Moral of the story don't fly in straight lines.

I shot someone who was flying in a straight line, however they were not flying towards me, but perpendicular to my sniping angle. So I had to account for speed and distance.

Usually, when sniping people I have to fire a few tracer shots.


My best so far, however, was in v8. I used Sniff's Barrett, while my cross-hair and names were gone because I had pressed f5, and shot someone who was jetting in mid air, while I was also jetting.

You serious? With hitscan weapons, you still need to aim. Do you think that CS:S comp teams have no skill since their weapons are hitscan?

Never played CS:S. And I'm not saying people who use them have no skill, I'm saying they take no skill to use.

There is more to shooting games than the ability to shoot. However, hitscan/raycast weapons maximize this ability to shoot so it is ridiculously easy, and when you come across these people it makes them much harder to beat, because these weapons act as a handicap.

They make it so good people can't dodge, and since people with no skill don't dodge in the first place, it has no effect on them.

Are you handicapped? You can still dodge, just move erratically and don't hold down the jump button like an idiot.

When I shot a biplane at full speed with the sniper rifle. The driver was stupid and didn't fly out, and he got blown into peices.

Even if he did jump out, the plane would either ram into him considering the speed, or he would fly back in, considering the speed.

I was on a CTF game on the slopes. I killed both guards guarding da enemy flag, i ran out of there base and realised dat i neededz a gitaway plane. I noticed one flying below me...So i jumped hoping dat i would land on it. I did. I then shot the pilot and started flying towards maw base. On the flight over to maw base i sniped an enemy pilot who was just a dot on the horizonz.   (The awsome part is me jumping off a cliff and landing on a flying enemy plane)

I was on Gameking's Jail RP,playing as a prisoner. I walked around for a bit, and I went to the vents through the medic room. I got some nice guns and jumped out and killed 2 guards before a sniper rifle round hit me. The next round, I had been so sneaky that, I had several guards surrounding me. They got bored of me and left me alone after awhile, which gave me some time to get a katana fromthe storage room. I went to the medic room with a guard trailing behind me, and then I saw in the chat, the guards asking for me to come to death row. I thought "screw that!" pulled out the katana, killed the guard(who had a shotgun pointed at me) took his guh, and killed 3, to 5 guards, took a key, went outside and won the match!
