4chan is an anonymous imageboard. It really isn't that bad as a collective, sections such as /x/ (paranormal) are interesting at times. However, it is home to /b/ (random), which produces 90% of all the internet's meme's and is made up of about 85% kids/teens who think they're edgy/funny, 10% lurkers (people who read but don't post, and %5 people with viable skillsets such as hacking, programming, or higher intelligence.
While primarily /b/ is a stuffhole, Project Chanology was conceived and put into effect there. Not everything that comes from /b/ is stupid stuff.
Don't go to or post memes from /b/. They're not funny. You're not cool if you visit there.
