idiot alart   anything that a planet obits has to be a star unless its a whitr dwarf (wich is rare) or they just get flinged out into the loving universe, they are called planemos if they don't have a host star, our planet is not a planemo, and the universer was during the big bang theroy, it took tesn of millions of years to make the very first stars, but something had to make a big bang

Its pretty much rare to have our sun that size. Our Galaxy is mostly filled with larger suns. MUCH LARGER.

The sun is counted as a star in the astronomer's book because of the fact that it's bright, and carries many gases with it.

First, the sun is a star.
It makes the day time when the earth's side to the sun. When the earth spins to the other side, the sun is still at the same place and then the night comes. Those tiny white stars aren't there in the day time because the sun is too bright to see them.
