Quick, give the people a speech about how stupid they are acting over some cartoons.
Stop posting topics about this cartoon and just bring it up with those who like it. Or just make one topic for those who do like it, and put your things in there. If people start flaming it, just ask them to stop, if they don't, ignore it and continue talking with those interested. Your defending the cartoon is just as bad as them attacking it. This isn't matter a "standing up for what's right" or even something
remotely similar. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Let them like what they want and you like what you want. But stop trying to push it onto them, please.
And I wouldn't say people are acting stupid, but many are overreacting or reacting ridiculously (Those for and against it alike) . It's been said once and I'll say it again, you put just as much energy towards attacking something people like as the people that actually likes it spends enjoying it.
