How do your school busses work if they're able to be overpacked?
All the school busses that I've been on and see, have a maximum capacity, obviously, and there are certain students who take that particular bus.
There's enough room to fit all the students who require that bus on, the ones who are supposed to take it due to where they live, and occasionally a couple more students.
However, the busses aren't supposed to take any other students on who aren't registered for that bus.
Apparantly it's because everyone who takes a bus, recieves a bus card for it. Those bus cards are then the legal documents or whatever that mean you are to be covered by the insurance company who insures the school busses in the case that there is an accident.
The busses will usually take a couple of extra people, incase someone invites a friend home or whatever, but it's up to the bus driver. If there's not enough room, the driver kicks someone who's not supposed to be on the bus, off. Similarly, there would never not be enough room if there are only people registered for that bus on it.
tl;dr, how can a school bus be overpacked, unless it's picking up people who don't require the bus and taking them rather than people who do require it.
