Well, then this makes sense. Many school districts in numerous states are undergoing budget cuts. Some more extreme then others, but still, they may have been unprepared for the amount of students. Or, as Dooble said, you may not meet all the requirements to be bused, or met less then others. :o

It's a new school. It's only like 1-2 years old. I really doubt they're undergoing budget cuts. Everything in the school is new.

Maybe what Doobles was saying, then. His point is completely valid. :o

I'd like to know the routine of getting on the bus and off, specifically.  If you don't know much about it, I suggest asking a person that may know it.

My point was more of a question, but I guess it works for the same basis.

Either your bus driver doesn't care who get's on the bus, and they take anyone who get's on, regardless of if they live where it goes, or you're not actually 'qualified' to use the bus.

But, if you say you were stranded, then you obviously have no over means of getting home. So, that wouldn't make sense why the school wouldn't have enough room on their busses or enough busses to get everyone home.

How do your school busses work?
Are you set one in order to get to and from school if you live a distance away, or is it more like a public bus service sort of thing, where it goes from a set destination and anyone who can get there uses it?

She was supposively taking role call. I signed off on a sheet when I got on the bus to go to school. I don't think she took role call though when the buses were taking us home.

That would make sense.

When I used to take a school bus, paid by the school, it was because I live a long distance from the school that would be impossible to walk to and from. (I lived in a very rural part of the country side at the time, and walking to and from school would be anywhere from a 4-5 hour walk)
My brothers and I were given a BusCard, which was inspected on pick up so the bus driver knew to take us.

He didn't however check when we got on the bus at the end of the day.
He probably should have though. I think it was because he was lazy and didn't want to make everyone wait and form queue's in order to get on, simply because there would be a lot of people in a small area in the bus parking area.
I guess the reason he would inspect on the way to though, is because he would obviously park up outside your house (In my case) or in the small villages, so it was easy to get everyones Cards.

Probably just lazy bus drivers. I know how un-enthusiastic they can be about their jobs, as well as how pissed off they can be. I'd be pissed off if I had to drive the richardheads in the bus I used to take, twice a day, 5 days a week and for a large majority of the year.
It was bad enough just sharing the bus with them.

Here's hoping you don't get the same problem again though. If you do, go to your school and complain to them. I'm sure that if you take a bus because you can't get home any other way, they legally have to get you back home, and it's their responsibility to do so. If the bus driver is stopping you from getting back, they'll have to do something. Whether that's stricter control of the busses passengers or different drivers, you'll defintely stop encountering the problem if you complain.

Lesson: Stop hanging around with your friends and get on your damn bus.

Reason I didn't get a seat fast enough was because I used the restroom. I don't mess around when school ends. I like my friends but when the bell rings I'm getting the hell out of there and back to my house.

That's no bus fail!

Now this is a bus fail!

What was the temp when you had to stand in that "blaring sun"?

How exactly did they... Actually nevermind. I don't want to ask.
They burst through the glass unharmed and manage to get out not wet and managed to take a picture fast enough!

I think he was actual questioning how anyone would manage to get a bus into a river like that.
Especially considering directly behind the direction it went in, is a nice concrete rise at the edge.
That would be a wonderful crash in order to hit that and go over it.

There are no more buses for me where I live :|
NJ is poor as hell.
