Author Topic: Finding Video Card  (Read 1557 times)

My friend is trying to fix Worms Reloaded. I helped him disable one of his cores, because that was one of the causes of lag, but he has a single core processor. Then I decided he should update his Drivers, but he can't find his video card. I tried getting him into device manager and under display adapters, but he couldn't find it. Anybody know how to find your graphics card without Device Manager or taking your computer apart? I have a feeling taking the computer apart wouldn't go well for him :c

computer > properties?

Just run a test on any game with canyourunit.com, it won't give you the specific model but it'll tell you the specs so you can help narrow down your search.

He is on Windows 7. Computer > Properties will give you processor info, model info, manufacturing info, and ratings. On the side, there is: Device manager, remote settings, and some other things

edit: whats that one command you can put in Run that will open your computer specs? It was something like DirectX, but that isn't right
kalph said it, dxdiag

Re-Install video drivers.

If anyone happens to find a driver for a Packard Bell iMedia SiS integrated card, throw me the link.

Re-Install video drivers.
That's what I'm telling him to do, but remember, he has no idea what card he has. He tried downloading some off Nvidia website. He said Isjix told him to delete his drivers and install new ones. He should've told him to get his card info beforehand :\

It's ok now, I rebooted my computer and it reinstalled the drives.
Thanks for trying :)

Somehow, one of my brother's computers says it doesn't have anything. At all. Everything in dxdiag is n/a. Shortly after it stopped turning on lol.
