Author Topic: Need Help Looking For A Processor  (Read 1605 times)

I'm trying to find a cheap yet high end quad core processor. I really don't have the money right now but it'd be good if I could find one and see if I can save enough money for one. If you can find one under 200 dollars I'll love you. If you can find one under 100 dollars... Marry me... No, not really.

Socket Type: LGA 775

I make quarter core processors for 20 dollars  :cookieMonster:

I once removed my processor from my old computer to give it a new one, I ended up bending all the tiny teeth on both of them  :cookieMonster:

i have no idea how to remove processors or put new ones in, but ill have to find that out when i start building a computer :x

Don't you say that you know stuff about computers, because you didn't give any of the information necessary in finding a processor

Socket type?
I was wondering that because he said Intel or AMD it doesn't matter

Socket type?

Actually stuff, I don't know. I only know my motherboard is a Realtek. Anyway I can find out without popping my computer open?

Also I wonder if they still sell triple core processors. They're just defective quad cores that I can repair.

Look it slipped over my head to provide a socket type. So stop being an starfish while I try to figure out what motherboard I have.

Some Computer models have it stored under the system fan. :x

Pretty sure every computer I've ever seen has one on their motherboard.

Right click Computer>Properties

Should say your current processor. I can figure out the socket type from that.

Realtek makes various integrated circuits for computer hardware, not motherboards. :x
