Author Topic: iPod Touch 4th Generation  (Read 1518 times)

Today at a convention hosted by Apple Inc. in San Francisco, Steve Jobs unveiled the new fourth generation iPod Touch. It is available in storage capacities of 8GB ($229), 32GB ($299), and 64GB ($399). It features two new cameras, just like the iPhone 4; one on the front of the device specifically for the new FaceTime app, which allows for device-to-device real-time video chats, and one on the back, which is an HD camera, capable of recording videos with quality of up to 720p.

Read the CNET news report about it here.

I lost my first generation iPod Touch (that I've had for three over years) about a month ago and I really need a new one; I've been waiting for this one to be released.

Note: This is not a thread for talking about how much Apple and/or its products suck, so if you hate Apple, simply don't post your hate here. If you'd like to discuss the pros and cons between devices such as the Zune and the iPod/iPhone, that's fine, but no flame/hate please.

God this is awesome. I need a camera on mine so badly. Might just sell my 2g now and buy this.

Looks cool. I have the iPhone 3GS for the record. :P

Isn't GameCenter like steam for iphone or something lol?

Kind of. Apple said they'd be creating a cloud-like service called Game Center, which is being released with this new iPod, so I'm guessing it's kind of like Steam.

Which is awesome, except that there's no games on it; it's simply for checking up on your friends and seeing what they've been playing, and possibly having chats with them.

That's really cool though

I thought there was OpenFeint for iPods to do that already though.

Oh, so apparently I'm blind and didn't see the topic already made by Niven about this and several other things. My apologies, locking.
