Friend Fried My Computer

EDIT: I fixed the issue. My CPU overheated.

OP: I wouldn't really call him a friend now. He sent me an application, it wasn't a virus technicly, but it opened up like 300 internet explorer windows leading to like 100+ different websites. Now I think my cpu is fried because my computer is running slow as stuff. I already cleared the internet cache and restarted my comp but it shows no improvement. Any ideas how to fix this before I jump to the conclusion of buying a new cpu?

Doesn't a computer have fail safes and whatnot to prevent the CPU from becoming fried. Unless you overclocked it. Also try and check for viruses.

Not a virus or my programs woulda've blocked the process. Also I have an Intel which is kinda weird though. Intel's are suppose to be "underclocked" so I have no loving idea how it got screwed up.

Edit: Good thing I didn't have AMD or my computer probably woulda've caught fire.

Fixed my computer. I popped the bitch open and burnt my hand on the cpu. It was hotter than stuff. Anyways I let it cool off and now my computer is up to full speed.

No it was a .exe. I deleted the file after raping my computer.
