The Video Editor's rendered videos go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Videos\rendered. You technically don't need any recording software to make GTA IV videos.

Yeah I know that. When I turn it on I lose a stuff ton of fps though.

If you're talking about saving clips, don't you just hit F2 and it saves the last 30-60 seconds or so as a clip instantly?

Turn on the save clips option. When its on I get a lot less fps.

I didn't know about that. I'll have to look for that later.

Just turn that off if the FPS is too low to be enjoyable and F2 after something interesting happens.
