Useless piece of stuff. Let's you do everything a book can do but for 190.00$ more.

The best part is that they are like, "OUR BATTERY LASTS FOR A SUPER LONG TIME".

Well last time I checked a book lasts a very long time as long as it isn't exposed to fire or water.

Wtf? why the forget would you make a topic about something, just to rant on it.
I love my kindle, what if you don't have the book at the time?
It saved me a stuff load of work, for my history report last year.

It's more the ability to carry multiple books around with you without having to sacrifice the space than anything really

Also e-print or whatever is better for your eyes

So basically the Kindle is for irresponsible people who can't make sure they have a certain book?

Yes because looking at a brighter version of paper is amazing for your eyes. So is the flicker rate.

Books are generally larger. It totally makes sense that something larger is easier to be lost then something smaller.

I know plenty of people who barely read but buy a kindle and be like, "I HAVE A KINDLE, I CAN READ BOOKS DIGITALLY, WHAT DO YOU HAVE?"

People have opinions.

The Kindle is like a useless version of the iPad

oh wait the ipad itself is useless too lol

I did, but I still see no point in the Kindle unless you have to carry around a bajillion books or something.

if you're in high school, yeah you have a loving stuffload of books, carrying around a 3 oz gadget is a relief.

Exactly, glad you agree

Books are generally larger.

Unless you're buying large, hardcover books, not really

The Kindle is like a useless version of the iPad

I really don't like it either but only because I don't read too much and don't need it

Yes.
You have to think, maybe the kindle serves you no purpose, but put yourself in another situation, and the kindle is pretty awesome.

I have absolutely no problem carrying around my books.
