If your child does something stupid, it's your own fault for failing as a parent and not giving your child COMMON loving SENSE.

Well she didn't want him to get any crazy ideas. :o
I've been playing M games since I was in 2nd grade. You don't see me plotting to shoot my school up.

You aren't all children, though. His mother may be over protective in this matter, but it's better than a parent who just doesn't care. The fact she's this strict on it shows she does. :/

My mother doesn't care about me.

Is that a problem?

The parents that just don't care usually are a lot better actually.

Yes, but excluding protection from children and not teaching them skills on how to use a gun without physically using one, skills that can save his life one day, is like not telling your child about condoms, the pill or STI's/STD's.

"Just left-click, son. Make sure the lego is in your crosshair, first". :I

The mother, I'm sure, was exaggerating. Or maybe he is. It isn't unreasonable to say you don't want your child playing violent games. Granted, not allowing it in Blockland is a bit ridiculous, though we don't know everything about the situation. Perhaps he just asked for a new game that was violent, and his mother said no because of such. Perhaps she saw something she didn't like.

Children will, eventually, learn about the shadows within life. But that doesn't mean you should just let them do whatever they want and teach them that the world is a horrid place and will never change. If you decide the world is one way, it will be through your eyes. That works both positively and negatively. (And I'm not just talking about the violent videogames thing. I'm covering much right here)

I was talking about computer/consle. Not blockland.

Tell her that you want to join the army, and film her reaction.

Your mom's an idiot that shovels coal for a living...
