--PROLOGUE--
I need an opinion. I'm going to use it mainly for homebrew and emulation. Probably no games. You would think I want a PSP Go for that, but no. Go is unhackable.

IF YOU VOTE PLEASE POST TO TELL WHY

I voted 2000 but then noticed you said you weren't going to play it normally so I revoke my vote because I know nothing about that stuff

oic. I might buy games for it but the real reason I want it is to convert all of my other handhelds (GBA, GBC, GB), And N64 games that I OWN (Glover, Zelda Oot, Zelda MM, Kirby, Gex, Earthworm Jim)

I guess you should go with the 3000.

The 3000 totally isn't worth it, if you're trying to homebrew. ChickHEN is a pain in the ass to work, and even when you do most of the applications you can get don't work with the motherboard of the 3000.

Woah wait what? then what motherboard do they work for?

PSP-2000 (TA-088v3) / PSP-3000 / PSP-N1001 (PSPgo)   6.30   No   No publicly released hacks or exploits.

PSP-2000 (TA-088v3) or PSP-3000   5.50 – 5.51   No   No publicly released hacks or exploits. Upgrade to 6.20.

Those are the ones currently unhackable.

Also to anyone who's going to yell 'LOL PIRACY,' there's more uses to homebrew than to download games illegally.

EDIT: 4000th post.

Wow, wonderful, considering PSP 1000's are impossible to find

If you can find a PSP 1000, great.

If not, don't worry. Most PSP 2000's can be hacked. The later models, not so much. PSP 3000, good luck. PSP Go, no chance.

I thought that you could enable the 3000 with ChickHEN?

I thought that you could enable the 3000 with ChickHEN?

The very first models, yes. The ones closer to the release of the PSP Go, no. Also, I believe only like 2 of the bundled PSP's can be hacked.

I has one. :)

I wouldn't give up my 1000 just for a 3000, but you should buy a 3000.

why you would want a PSP, who knows, but I'd say 2000.
