Indeed, I am quite surprised by this turn of events.

We don't want the server to be a 24/7 trollfest where actual gameplay is hindered, and do welcome feedback (though it's hard to cut through the BS that a lot of these types of threads attract most of the time). Suggestions are also welcome on our forums, for those so inclined.

It really goes out of hand if the admin is not in the server of the 24/7 server, there will be people that will break the rules, and theres nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, agreed. We're most likely not going to find a team that can cover all hours of the day, so it's regrettable that people can ruin it for others when there aren't any admins present.

The server moderators don't kick players for occasionally saying "Damn it!" or other things similar. It's normally from excessive badmouthing towards another player. Scattered Space likes players to be respectful and kind to others. Not doing so won't get you punished. However, doing the opposite will normally result in a kick or short ban.

What "swear" words does he ban for?

You broke a rule on a server and got banned. Server rules are server rules. Don't go crying to Drama when you break one.

Everything.
Even turtle.
I'm just asking, I mean, even schools don't pay any mind to some of the words I've seen people banned for, like "dam" and "ass". Besides, does he ban for swear words in other languages? How about if I separate it into two words? Will he ban for saying "fu" and then saying "ck" as two separate words? How about if I say random 'swear' words I make up, will he ban for swearing then?

The whole concept is flawed.

Saying something like fu, ck in seperate sentences then going I DIDN'T CURSE durrr, is being a complete idiot. Putting it in to two different setences doesn't change the meaning.

When I was a lot younger, I had heard that there were only 'seven' 'curse words'.
I was only able to come up with five:
"bitch",
"ass",
"forget",
"dam", and
"stuff".

Now consider that the meaning of words is constantly changing, some people consider "handicap" a swear word, though it simply means, 'slow', some consider "cigarette" a swear word, though it originally meant a bundle of sticks, or something, some consider "monday" a swear word, when it used to be a commonplace term for black people, even if you weren't particularly tribal.

Once again, there are different languages, and not only do they have their own words, but who says there will be a perfect translation for every word. Possibly other people who speak other languages consider an entirely different set of words 'swear words', that wouldn't even translate to English 'swear words'.

Also, would you ban me for saying "Fu." as a stand alone sentence?

If I banned for cursing, it would be anything people would probably find offensive.

You find offensive, or the players in the server?
