Maybe you haven't seized the opportunities. Personally, I feel I have musical ability, but I know that it isn't something I want to go into as a career. So it isn't an opportunity I look for. If it were to come to me, well, maybe I would. But who knows? :o
Besides, music is about expression. You should go into for the fact you want to spread music around and draw attention to the messages, or because you want to spread the joys of the many musics that bless our Earth, not just because you want to be famous. It seems that, sadly, many people seek that in today's music industry, which makes their music lack a special beauty that is within some others. :c
