Good camera?

Well i am looking into getting a camera for photography, and right now all i have is a Nikon Cool pix s220, and i want a camera that has more mega pixels, can uses lenses and what not. Just an over all nice camera my limit for the camera alone is $800, so any suggestions?

That is what i have been thinking of but is there anything with more mega pixels?

Also another feature i am looking for is good close up, like i don't know if that is the lens or what, but i want it to have clear close pictures to things. I have a stuffty video camera that takes better close up pictures than my little nikon, and the video camera only has 3mps.

Sorry but, a flip you wasted your money get another, you wasted more money. They are not that bad but you can get better for there price.
