Author Topic: Getting a gaming notebook, what to get.  (Read 1669 times)

Recently, I've been noticing that my computer is slowly dying. At some point it's going to go kerpoot on me, and I'll have to get rid of it.

So, I'm looking for a gaming notebook that is well made and costs cheap. (As in, 400 - 800 dollars cheap.)

I am currently looking into this notebook made by ASUS. It's considerable cheap on Amazon, but I saw that it had pretty good graphics. Only con is that the chipset is a last gen NVidia ION.

If you could recommend a good computer for within my price range, that will be quite helpful.

Search "Alienware" on Craiglist. I got a laptop for 700 bucks that runs TF2, Gmod, and Half-Life 2, high settings no lag :o
(it was like 1800 bucks when the seller bought it)

I would, but I don't want to look on Craigslist in fear of being ripped off and finding out there is no laptop.

Netbooks aren't for loving gaming you twit.

NET = INTERNET

You mean a Laptop.

Reminds me of some guy who bought a new Lincoln Navigator which really aren't cheap and sold it in the paper for like 12k.

You just tell the person you want to meet at a public place and look at the laptop.

Looks nice, only one thing though: I heard AMD Mobility cards aren't that great. Is this true?
