Getting a tablet

For my birthday next week, I'm getting a tablet for my mac. All I want is a nicely built but basic tablet with pen that won't wear out. Any tablet users have advice/ideas?

I want a tablet so bad! I mean, I can deal with doodling with a mouse, but if I could draw in PDN with the same skill I have on paper that'd be rad.

I tablet is like a handheld thing that you can write on and it goes onto the computer.


Like, so you could actually draw on say, Paint.net, with it instead of trying to use a mouse.
