Actually it was modeled from the C-96. The Luger is that other weird German pistol with a long skinny barrel.

OK first of all solos blaster is called the DL-44 blaster if you ever played star wars battlefront 2, and also; they took the main parts of the C-96 and added their own barrel, cool looking buttons and whatnot and gave it a scope.

The fact that I know it in some way or form came from the C96 should be enough. And you can't assume everyone has played battlefront 2 to know the name.
