Author Topic: I'm Going to Have to Share my Faith  (Read 2327 times)

I now go to a Catholic middle school and once in a while you have to show your faith.  But heres the trick this time, it has to be online.  It could be IMing, Message boards, Facebook, etc etc.  No, I am not sharing my faith towards this message board.  I'm not the religious kind of guy, but still study Christianity and whatnot.  So um, any suggestions on where to "Share my faith" anywhere?

Suggest or discuss.
Wait, your school forces you to spread your religion?
Wtf?

Don't know if they force you too.

What if you were Muslim or Atheist and your parents made you go to that school?

I went to this school because almost every school I go to (Public schools) or stuffty.  This Catholic school has great teachers and whatnot.  Sure I'd study Christianity, but not be a part of it as much as they want me to.

I'm attending a Catholic High School currently.

I still don't feel the need to "share my faith".

But anyways since your middle school is run by one of those stupid radical Catholic groups that insist that Catholicism is the only way unlike my high school which actually fairly respect everyones religious views, you can just photoshop you on the message boards going "Hey guys I love you all Catholicism rools!!!"

Try 4chan, everyone will think its really the right thing to do there. 4chan is a really fun, safe, happy community that tries to push that coexist stuff to spread all around the world.

Cool, I might go there!

Well firstly, you are sharing with us, and secondly Talking about it is not preaching. Saying hey, I am a catholic and I believe these things is sharing. You don't have to say that you must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you to pay for your sins.

I think they wanted me to share how Christianity could be a good religion and give a couple examples.

I'm all entirely unsure if this is forced.

Like I said, my school is run by normal friendly Catholics. You aren't being converted to Christianity you're being taught about it at my school. We are still taught about evolution in Biology and other life science classes.

Evidently one of my Religion Lecture teachers told us that he even had taught a Hindu student before.

wat

Most Catholic schools I've heard of don't overtly force the students to show their Christianity, especially considering a lot of them aren't Christian.

Most good Catholic private schools, and when I say private I mean like $10k/year tuition or more, not cheap stuff Catholic "private schools" that you find in like downtown Baltimore that use state funded textbooks from 1990 still.
