The Tunnels series

I am not much into reading, but i have recently discovered the Tunnels series by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams. I have really enjoyed these books and can not wait for the fourth installment, Closer.


THE PLOT

Basically 14 Year olds Chester and Will find a civilization underground. There are law enforcers/oppressors called the styx, and they want to destroy human life above the ground.



Discuss this book. Has anyone read this? my favorite was Deeper, the second book in the series.

Yeah, the first book is just Ok. I really got into it on the second book, Deeper.

Funny, I just got done doing a total dissection of this series and it's ideas with a friend, I'd never thought I'd see it turn up here.

Quite odd, and I have an idea of where they're going with it.  I do appreciate the many nods to "Journey to the Center of the Earth".

No, that is not because their evil. Do some background research before posting. They want the surface for themselves and they think that the surface dwellers are disgusting pigs. They say that the surface dwellers pushed them underground.
