Author Topic: Datablock limit  (Read 2150 times)

Can anyone explain why am I hosting an online server with 2591 datablocks just fine when the limit is 2048?

limit's 4096 or something.

limit's 4096 or something.
Yeah, it's 4096
I don't see why you tought of 2048, Demian

The limit is: 0001000000000000

Oh I see. It has been raised then.

4096/2 = 2048

Huzzah.

The limit is: 0001000000000000

Funfact: It's actually 111111111111 - the address limit (i.e. the max datablock index) is 4095 but the total number of datablocks that can be referenced is 4096 because a zero still counts.

Weird, because datablocks start at object ID 3. Objects 0, 1, and 2 don't exist.

That id is irrelevant, there's a different number system within the engine for datablocks. Imagine the real id of a datablock being whatever position it is within the DataBlockGroup SimGroup.

is it possible to make it any larger? then we could have tons of add-ons at once

This please because I hate it when it says the add-on has been disabled.

No. Disable stuff you're not using.

I wished that too, And if not, at least tell them what got auto-disabled, because I hate to get the message and host, and once you have a ton of people, notice one thing you need BADLY is gone, and your like asfsa
