Of course put a president who wants to make new money on the one dollar bill for doing nothing i like old loving money

I don't know if you're all loving stupid or just don't know how to read but, nowhere does it say  the government is supporting changing the dollar. The president has nothing to do with this, he didn't ask to be put on any bills.

It will if Obama has anything to do with it.

Quite. Petitions are going around, but luckily, the government hasn't paid much mind to it.

Also, since no one reads what was on the last page:
I was just reading about this. :O!

The dollar would look odd without "In God We Trust" on it. It's just become a part of it. :c

Then again, our currency is mainly just paper with pretty pictures on it, so it doesn't really matter much what they put on it (besides for cultural value, of course). The only reason it's worth anything is because the government says it is and we believe them. :o

Obama's only $1.

I'm astonished they're actually considering putting him on one at all.

Usually a historically significant President goes on a bill.  One who's term was served many years ago.  One who has actually done something.  Not one who has had the Nobel Peace Prize handed to him for entering office.

Forget the fact that Obama is on the $1 bill, there shouldn't even BE a $1 bill. What were they thinking? Any bills under $5 should be replaced with coins.

Other than that I'm fine with everything else. Color coded money is a great idea, if for no other reason than I can organize the bills in my wallet to look like a rainbow. But being able to tell what denomination it is at a glance is also helpful.

It's not really unprecedented, it's actually really common. Many countries put their current leaders on the bills, and it'd be cool if they issued a new bill every 4 or 8 years. They'd be really collectible and by the time the bills started to wear out there'd be a new president in office and a new set of bills coming out. I see a lot of people freaking out over nothing, it's not like anybody's suggesting we carve his face into Mt. Rushmore. It's a dollar, it's the stufftiest bill you could possibly have. Wouldn't that be poetic justice for all the people who don't like Obama? Seriously lighten up guys, our government is run by terrorists and gay sympathizers and you're worried about the color of our money.

Id like the format however dispite my support for Obama, I would not want to see him on our money. He hasn't actually done anything yet.
One might even say that he wasn't noteworthy.

What. No. forget you.

Now we can't say we have "Green paper" anymore.

What, are cents gonna be pink now?

You already can't, open up your wallet and take a look at the 5 sometime.

Also having green paper would mean you have wads of 20s, which would make you even cooler.

They're only thinking about putting his face on money so they can get attention.

It's the equivalent of them sucking his richard.

It also helps the muggers and thieves, too.  :cookieMonster:

Bitch did I give you permission to bump my topic?

Oh brother.  You had a valid point right up until that sentence.

It's the equivalent of them sucking his richard.

Which is basically what everyone has been doing up until now.  "Well, he may have ridden into office on a wave of hype, but he's black and I don't want to look like a tribal.  I support Obama!"

It's funny because you're so blatantly ignorant of how sarcastic Wedge is being.
