Author Topic: Just spent a day in the middle of Lake Erie.  (Read 686 times)

...Well, on South Bass Island.

South Bass Island (shown above, for obvious reasons) is home to the village of Put-In Bay. It's about a 10-minute ferry ride from the mainland to the island, and from there it's about a 5-minute bus ride to the main part of the village, where there are shops, restaurants, a gargantuan lighthouse-turned-monument, and bars up and down every street. I spent a whole day there. I also had lobster bisque. Yum. Creamy. I could see the US-Canadian border from where I was eating.

Only problem is, I had a terrible cold the whole day. It was awful.

Are you dead?
Yeah, I am. It certainly feels weird. Think I should go to see my own funeral?
