Spoilers etc
Wow I've never been so pissed off about a movie before, I watched this about 3 weeks ago and it still pisses me off. To understand what I'm talking about you have to watch it yourself. I don't understand who or what this movie was supposed to stand for. One guy's family dies and the law fails him, he gets pissed off and tries to show how the law is flawed.
What gets me the most about this movie is who the "Hero" of the movie is, some movies there's no hero and thats usually plain in site, but I was rooting for this guy who's family was killed and there was no justice. Then there's the black lawyer who didn't pursue getting the guy who killed the other guys family thus him being the victim of how the justice system is flawed. After you've watched the movie the white guy's plan gets foiled and ends up dying. But at this point the movie portrays the black guy as the Hero, I was seriously pissed off due to the fact the law was flawed, the black guy was a egotistic lawyer who didn't serve justice due to his win loose ratio or whatever it was.
So in the end what do we get, white guy dies in vain, black guy is hailed a hero, justice system is still flawed and forgeted to hell. Morel of the story, black guy wins because his ego is better or... its just another AMERICA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD bullstuff again. Of course there's nothing wrong with the justice system in America, because thats not American. You probably can't see this if you're an American but because I live in a different country with different laws (Not hugely different mind you) I get this really bad vibe from the movie.
Overall this movie rubbed me the wrong way and I hated it just because of it.
