Author Topic: Is this compter worth 1,275$?  (Read 3140 times)

Yes? No? Take out something?

I want to be able to have a VERY high brick count without lagging, and good steam games, also multitasking, lots and lots of multitasking.

I don't know how much I can spend, but I'm still pushing my luck here.

She said pick out a desktop you want for a reasonable price for performance.

Edit: The base price was 899

Jesus christ that computer is NOT worth that much money. If all you are going to do is play blockland, you DON'T need 10 gb of ram. Plus, a ATI 5450 is a pretty terrible graphics card.

Shut up you loving idiot.

That specific ATI card does need an upgrade though; it is a low end model.

That's still a bad video card.

No, don't do it. That computer is very overpriced for the stuffty video card options you get.

If you wanna do high-res games, go for the GTX series. I hear those are the best right now.

K lefting for school now, make me a computer if you want, budget is 1,300

Mow 300 lawns,

Buy it all

6GB ram
cheapest graphics card
then use the money you save to buy this:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121375
also ya'll dont need that sound card, integrated is fine

Its not worth 1275$, but it is worth $1275.
Hue

This is common on factory computers. They give you triple the ram a game would ever use, they give you a slow quad-core so you are like ZOMG QUAD-CORE YAAAYYY, then they give you a 1 gig graphic card that is of non-gaming quality.

The 8GB costs the same as 6GB. Hopefully they change the motherboard based on what RAM configuration you choose. Besides that this is sound advice if you absolutely have to buy the computer prebuilt and don't trust yourself to build it. Just saying since for only $1000 you could get a way nicer computer if you assemble it yourself. You're also only like 12 so maybe it's better to buy a prebuilt for now if no one else knows anything about computer hardware in your house.

Also, try shopping around different reputable sites to try and get the best deal.

I'll give you twenty bucks for it.
