Can you change keys while hosting a Dedicated server without errors?

I was thinking about using the computer that my brother uses to host my dedicated, although, I want it to be hosted under my name. But is it possible to change keys while the Dedicated server is running.

It'd probably make his key do an auth fail.

So, the server would go down accordingly.

But, it wouldn't hurt to test it.
