Modding a robot

For school I have a project of building a car type robot that is more powerful than another robot in a (essentially) sumo match.  Over the summer I want to mod it by putting a camera on it which feeds to my remote, so I can remotely drive it.  What other mods should I put on it?

I've went to robot fighting matches and the winners are always the ones with blade propellers and heavy bottoms.

Make it have something really cheap, like a big steel bubble around it with little spears sticking out each tiny hole to push people out of the ring. Also have some sort of extra traction device so the spear pushes them away and not yourself.

it should have a shovel type thing on the front
and it flips the opponent with the press of a button
i know for loving sure, thats what killed me 200% of the time in robot arena 2

Well this isn't some cool battle thing, its just using ramps to get underneath the opponent and then using motors with high torque to push theirs out of the ring.

Yes I know this isnt FIRST.

Heavy bottom as stated before is a good idea. Make sure it has lots of traction

I go to Chaminade High School, a catholic school on Long Island.  Its a club called the Science Olympiad, they enter you into competitions varying from countywide, to statewide, to nationals.
