Also, I believe blockland only uses 2.

Blockland uses two cores? Wow, it really needs that much speed? I guess it needs the resources from all the emitters I'm suspecting.

wtf I only have half a core get rid of mininuke plz

The sad part is that it's actually possible if you have dual video cards. O_o

It's possible with 1 video card.

You don't need multiple video cards to run multiple processes.

Computers do things besides play video games you dolts. Those high end processors are good for processes that deal with large amounts of data at one time, like a data server or video encoding for example.

Yeah I know. Twelve core cpus were just for servers but they're actually starting to make them for single computers. It's loving stupid.

Do you loving read anything before sputtering out stuff?

10 years later: $100 for it

Lol'd

Video encoding doesn't need that much cpu. At least relating to livestreams. I can livestream without much of a lag just fine and I only have a dual core.

God damn it, if you knew what you were talking about you wouldn't be sputtering stuff still.

See this CPU? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115223

See it? We max out it's processing power when we encode. We don't play around with your pansy ass 480i stuff, we do it like real men at a minimum of 1080p if we're using an HDTV.

You have a point but it's useless to me. I'm fine with my medium quality streams.

"It's useless to me so it's obviously bad and useless to everyone!"

Please, just shut the hell up already.

My dad had to buy one of the mac towers with 12 cores for his business

and let me tell you that thing runs BL like a saint, not to mention renders videos at a stupidly fast rate.

too bad it's 10k for the thing :(
