explain that to me please

just fyi for anyone else, i am homeschooled, but i am doing online school, not whatever kind of stuff this idiot is on225?yes it will friendwhat is 3(a-2b)
when a = 6 and b = -7

3a - 6b

3(6) - 6(-7)

36 + 42

78

I defend issac as well, because for forgets sake, you don't need to know the square root of 285375973945734 to be a loving painter. loving hell, you might be clever as forget in school, but that proves nothing about your general intelligence. loving imbeciles, seriously.

How does answering a question wrong make me a cigarette?
wtf.

At least you're not a monday

oh wait

yo
2b
Yes. 2b. What about it?

3(a-2b)
when a = 6 and b = -7

3 x a = 3a

3 x -2b = -6b

3 x 6 = 36

-6 x -7 = 42

36+42 = 78

Let's do it another way:

3(6 -2(-7))

-2(-7) = 14

so now we have

3(6 + 14)

3 x 6 = 36

3 x 14 = 42

36 + 42 = 78

our answer is 78.

3 x a = 3a

3 x -2b = -6b

3 x 6 = 36

-6 x -7 = 42

36+42 = 78

Wouldn't you do the parenthesis first?

then multiply the final outcome of the parenthesis by 3?

forget i hate math

Mulch is a friend.

I work my ass off 8x as long getting all A's on advanced material for 20$.

Watch your parents come in the room when your looking at one of the magazines.

-godamnitsnip-
hell
what i got was

3(6)-3(-14)
18 - 3(-14)
18 + 42
60

I did do the parentheses first. You aren't multiplying a by 2b, so all you have to do is 3(a)and 3(-2b) then add the two together and finish the sum. Anyways, doing the parentheses first wont have any effect.

6 - 2(-7)

6 + 14

multiplied by 3

18 + 42 = 60

I've just realised I made 3 x 6 = 36 instead of 3 x 6 = 18.  :cookieMonster:

hell
what i got was

3(6)-3(-14)
18 - 3(-14)
18 + 42
60

Made a small I'm tired error, my method was right but I made a silly mistake.
