Author Topic: large influx of highly nonreligious people on blockland  (Read 10004 times)

Ill just leave this here.....

The "metaphors/story tails" were originally meant to be real accounts of what happened. Admitting they are metaphors is discrediting the bible. Basically, you're saying that the bible doesn't mean anything, correct?
A person isn't required to believe in the Bible completely and literally. The Christian religion is set upon a foundation of the Bible, what pieces of it and to what length is by the choice of the believer. Personally, I only truly believe in several stories of the Bible, but there are many wondrous morals that are portrayed that I believe in as well.

And yes, in many parts, the Bible are contradictory. In what way, however, is also subjective.

My dog didn't die, But if i said it did because i raped 7 girls and god decided to punish me by killing my dog, that has a moral, even if it isn't true.
._.

No, i am saying many stories are not true, but the "metaphors" are supposed to be lessons about morality, which are good things to follow.

The moral of that was that god decided, that instead of preventing you of raping people, which would be good, he killed an unrelated animal and made it suffer, which is bad, proving that he is completely malevolent.

Also, Christains should believe the bible, it makes arguing with the easier when they all believe the same things, I mean, without the bible, what do they have left to believe?

You guys accept furries into the community without a single word but when someone talks about being a christian everyone rages.

i have a picture of god

Ra! Give us your warmth and bring life to the Nile!

I lol'd.

As Martin Luther said “God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars.” (I think it was Martin Luther. Either him or Saint Augustine. :o)

Religion isn't a cookie cutter. It's different for everyone, even those who belong to the same one.

It's an example. In the bible people were killed, not dogs.

No stuff. I never said we didn't believe the bible, i said parts of it were obviously wrong. There is also a difference in believing the earth is 6k years old, and some jew has set an example of being a good person.

Have you seen the hate against furcigarettes?

An influx is an increase in a short period of time. We've always had about half/half nonreligious/religious. I'm not going to do my religion sucks rant but you know who to pm ;)

Now, my Momma always told me miracles happen everyday. Some people don't think so, but they do.

God didn't write the Christian bible at all.
